Images and processing

Images you select are decoded and processed in your browser. shrinkpixel does not upload image files to its servers or to an image-processing service. Previews and results are held temporarily in your browser and are cleared when you remove an image or leave the page.

Re-encoding can change image quality, color, or metadata. GIF files are processed as a still image using the first frame; animation is not preserved.

Website and device information

When you open the website, our hosting provider may process technical request information such as your IP address, the page requested, browser details, and the time of the request to deliver and secure the service.

Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage. The website does not require an account.

Analytics

When enabled, Vercel Web Analytics measures page views and traffic patterns. It may process page URLs, referrers, timestamps, approximate location, device type, operating system, and browser information. Vercel says its Web Analytics does not use cookies and reports aggregated traffic data; its visitor identifier is a short-lived hash that resets after 24 hours.

The image tool also records whether processing started, completed, or failed, whether a result was downloaded, and the selected operation mode. These events do not include image contents or file names.

Feedback form

The contact page embeds a form provided by Tally. If you use it, the information you submit is sent to Tally and made available to us. Tally may receive technical information through the embedded form and processes it under its own privacy terms.

Advertising

Advertising is disabled in the current website configuration. If that changes, this policy will be updated to identify the services and explain the information they collect.

Your choices

You can use the image tools without submitting images to us. You can avoid sending feedback through the embedded form if you do not want to provide information to Tally and us.
